Gilbert Farmer’s Market
Every Saturday morning in Downtown Gilbert, right next to the Gilbert
Water Tower, is the Gilbert Farmer’s Market. This award winning market
hosts food trucks and vendors selling fresh local produce, pastries, art
and drinks from local businesses, and much more, with different vendors
being added every week.

The farmer’s market is located right in the heart of Gilbert, Arizona and
has become a popular Saturday destination for people from all over the
valley. The market has expanded in recent weeks to accommodate more
vendors and more people, especially since the weather is getting cooler
and the market is now open later.

Regular vendors at the market include the popular food truck Waffle
Crush, the Downtown Gilbert coffee shop Bergies, Aloha Lemonade, and
Doctor Hummus who’s hummus can be bought in Whole Foods but has
flavors exclusive to the market.

Besides the vendors there are always tables set up at the market for
enjoying the local food, a set of giant blocks for kids to play with, face
painting and a cooler featuring water bottles for $1 based on the honor
system.

The market is open Saturdays from 8AM to 12PM October-March and
7AM-11AM April-September (except for holidays).

Bergie’s Coffee

Every weekend at the Gilbert Farmer’s Market, Bergie’s coffee is there selling hot and iced coffee and lemonade. Bergie’s actual store is located just across the street from the market open every day of the week.

I sat down with Malik Hampton, a barista at Bergie’s about what it’s like to serve coffee at the farmer’s market.
